Voice Post:

“Hi, my name is Jennifer. I'm just doing this voice post, I've never done one before. My name is Jennifer and I'm 25 years old. I live in Alberta, Canada. It's very very cold, it's minus 20 degrees Celsius, it's snowing. What time is it, it's 1:30 in the morning, I should really be in bed right now. I'm wearing sweats and a t shirt right now. The last thing I listened to was Kryptonite by 3 doors down. The last thing I ate was a piece of chocolate, probably shouldn't eat that. The last thing I watched on TV was Grey's Anatomy. My favorite TV Show would have to be Stargate Atlantis, but it's a tie with Supernatural. The last movie I watched was Rush Hour 3 in August, it was kind of a crappy movie. I guess that's it.”

Voice posts are fun, right? You get to hear funny accents if your friends are from far, far away. All we really want is to hear your voice, we don't care what you're saying. So here's a list of typical meme questions that would otherwise be boring, but when communicated aloud - well, it's entertaining. Answer these questions in your post, and encourage others with voice-posting abilities to do the same.

1) What's your name?
2) How old are you?
3) Where are you from? Are you living there right now?
4) Is it cold where you are?
5) What's the time?
6) What are you wearing?
7) What was the last thing you listened to?
8) What was the last thing you ate?
9) What was the last thing you watched on tv?
10) What's your favorite tv show? Why?
11) Quick! Find a book, or something with text on it! Flip to a random page and read some of it! GO!
12) What was the last movie you saw? How was it?
13) Do YOU think you have an accent? Talk about that.

I didn't do 11 and 13 because I was having issues with this thing, it was cutting me off after a minute so it's kind of rushed.

Thanks, it was cool to hear your voice too.

>.> I listened to mine and realised how harsh my accent sounds.

And also -20 degrees, that's like... FREEZING Is it snowing?

I think your accent is cute.

Yeah, its pretty cold here and its been snowing non stop for a while. I don't really mind -20, its when it gets to -40 that I really wish it was summer.

Sorry to intrude but... -40?!? I would be already completely frozen at -20, but -40? I would never leave the house! :O

Oh and it's cool to hear your voice!

You kind of get used to it when you live here your whole life. You still don't want to do anything when its that cold though. Alberta weather is very hard to get used to though, -30 or -40 in the winter and +30 or +40 in the summer.
Nisha: Sheppardcolonel_taisa on November 24th, 2007 09:39 pm (UTC)
D= That's soooo cold. I don't think I'd be able to stand it.

-40 is very hard to get used to even when you've lived here your whole life. I've known people that have come up from Australia and I'm not sure how the stand it because I'm guessing it would take a while to get used to.

Alberta weather is weird though. It can go from +20 and sunny one day and -20 and snowing the next.

>.< I hate it when it gets down to 10 degrees here, I don't think I'd be able to stand anything below 0. Though I suppose if its warm and snuggly inside, it's slightly better.

XD Sounds like Melbourne weather (well not the snowing bit) On Tuesday it was 38 and the next day it was raining non stop and about 13.

Ah ha! So cool to hear your cute voice! Man, I thought it was cold here the past few days, but it's only in the 20's Fahrenheit. Guess I'll stop complaining. I absolutely adore Canadian accents. I know to you it probably doesn't sound like you have one. But I love 'em. And yay SGA! I missed that it wasn't on last night! Stay warm.
jennifer jensen: SGA: John Sheppard Bathed in lightjenniferjensen on November 25th, 2007 04:03 am (UTC)
It actually warmed up to 0 C(32 F) today but its supposed to go back down to -20 C(-2 F)tomorrow. Okay don't kill me if I got the conversions wrong, I'm not used to using Fahrenheit. The only thing I hate about Canada is the crazy weather.

I didn't think I had an accent at all, but glad you liked it. I love listening to different people's accents though. My Aunt has this weird accent because she lived most of her life in Canada but a few years ago she moved to Kentucky, so that's an interesting one.

Can't wait for SGA either, so excited for Miller's Crossing.

In case you can't tell, I'm extremely fond of Canada and Canadians. In fact, I'd like to be one someday. Glad to hear it's warmed up a wee bit though.

Canada is a great place to live and we have some pretty awesome talent here. The majority of the Stargate actors/crew for starts. :-)
