House Hunting, Here I come.
First off, Hey Rachel Lutrell what are you doing in my other fandom (Charmed)?

okay, so I got the go ahead to seriously look for a house, cause I'm approved for a mortgage. Okay, that was only after the house I wanted sold. Oh well. I'm either thinking of this one or this one

I'm thinking of the second one just for resale value. It has a big yard and its a house with a basement rather than just a condo. I was thinking of another  house. It was bigger and the basement was rented out to somebody so I would have income but its in the industrial area of town surrounded by drug dealers. Sometimes its really all about location and resale value and these other two are in really good locations.

Totally makes sense, I love it.

yay - looking at houses again. Both look nice but the second one maybe has more potential. The first one has an upgraded kitchen and an actual screen on the patio but those are things that can be done over time.

Always hard to tell from pictures - you really need to see them in person. Sad - I enjoy house hunting. Let me know how it goes!

I totally went with the first one. The first one is so gorgeous, every thing is new and in amazing condition. New Floors/New Kitchen, Cupboards, Bathtub, etc.

The second one OMG needs to be torn down, there is foam insulation coming out of the cracks and the whole place smells like mold.

You really can't tell smell from looking at pictures! I had the impression that they threw a coat of paint on the second one and then got a stager in for the furniture. The kitchen did look a little scary.

The first one looked all done. Good luck! I am house hunting vicariously though you now.

Thanks so much! I put in an offer, I'm just patiently waiting for a response.

Mmm. I like the first one. It has more charm.

And as a former landlord. OMG!!!! Having rental property is a lot of hassle and work and expense when you least expect it. I'm glad I'm out of that biz.

I totally went with the first, Just amazing condition and everything is new and pretty.

Yeah, I should know better. That's what I do for a living, or work for a place that has 600 rental properties for lower income families and seniors.

Buying a house seems incredibly overwhelming to me :/ Hope it all works out for you!
