And here's where I'm going to sound like a freak. I like it cold and since that is just around (our) zero...it's nice. Then again I was snowed in here for 12 days with -11 and colder temperatures and other than the cabin fever (12 DAYS no people other than family) I was perfectly content.

It wouldn't be too bad if I didn't have to go outside or you know go to work. I swear we should have a rule in place when its flipping -38C (-11F) out that states the office is going to be closed.

True true. Though for the 12 days we had exactly 4 places we could go- the woodpile, the garbage can, the animals or the road. That was it. We also had 4+ feet (100 cm's) of snow

That's a lot of snow at once. We usually end up with that much snow every year ( depending on the year) although that's usually accumulated until January or February. It doesn't really snow that much here at once its just extremely cold so it stays and accumulates and usually doesn't melt until May. (although last April was freaking cause it was +30C and there is usually still a little bit of snow left on the ground)

I guess my point is I wish the weather was a little bit more predictable. Here it can be a blizzard out and snowing like crazy and the next day it can be 20 degrees warmer and feels like spring.

Yeah, it was a TON to get all at once even here. Every couple years or so (about 2-6 depending) we get a big snow but hadn't had that much since back in 1990.

The weather here is just as crazy. We had a big snowstorm blow in from the north today. Got about 4-5 inches of snow in just under 4 hours. It has been CRAZY. Temps have been in the low 20's as our *high* today, and tonight is supposed to get down into the single digits. Schools have already closed for tomorrow and the streets have turned into skating rinks :S

My mom lives a few hours south of me and she says that it snowed and it was like a skating rink on the roads.

I think if it wasn't so cold here we would have probably gotten snow too.
